we recently stayed at rydges and had a comfy bed that made our nights restful. the hotel offered some nice amenities, and the decor, while a bit dated, added to its charm. we were happy with the overall cleanliness of our room, and the location was convenient for our activities. the staff was friendly, though there were moments of confusion during check-in that could use improvement.
No complaints, just a few hiccups 😅.

Honestly no reason to complain. Savoury, delicious breakfast with eggs other than scrambled, pastries plus toasties: )

We found a moldy bottle in our room, which freaked us out. The shower hardly worked, just pouring water everywhere. We moved to another room, but it was just as bad-clearly, they don't clean or maintain properly!

Good choice of food items served for great cooked breakfast. The location was favourable and handy, a 10-15 minute walking distance from a historical museum. And we were not far from the restaurant and also the cleaning staff and the city center and central Geelong and the Waterfront.
Sadly, but there was stain in some areas.

I recently stayed for a few nights while traveling from Sydney to Adelaide via the Great Ocean Road. The beds here are comfortable, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep. The breakfast restaurant offers a superb variety of fresh options, all at great value. The staff were helpful, even coming out in the rain to assist with the parking gate. The location is also fantastic, conveniently close to shops and transport.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I felt relaxed and their hospitality was very good.
Housemaid neglected to change the bedding everyday, The rubbish bins were missed on one occassion and a dirty hand towel left in the room.

Nice spot with a great location close to shops and dining. The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially during a stressful time. The rooms had some quirks, but the comfy bed and blackout curtains made for a restful night.

It is hard to be positive it was very average accommodation at top pricing
Unfriendly reception staff. After taking my money for 8 weeks they required a $200 deposit on a Debit Card and then it would take 5 days to get money back if not used. Breakfast very average. Overall the experience was comparable to a 3 star Motel.

The staff were very pleasant and eager to please.
I thought the room was not dusted very thoroughly, eg passing around things like the power cords on the table tops. I had to get down behind the desk to reach the power source and it was loaded with dust down there

We had an interesting stay at Rydges Geelong, with a mix of ups and downs. The room was spacious with stunning views and a super comfy bed, but the cleanliness left something to be desired, and we faced issues with the TV and key cards. The staff were friendly, and we enjoyed the outdoor pool and nearby attractions, like Westfield Geelong and the old gaol, which made for nice family bonding moments despite the hotel’s shortcomings.

We found it easy to locate in Geelong and were happy with the overall stay at the hotel
Did not think it was worth $15 to park our car on site
